This used to be THE spot. Food is for the most part good, drinks are tasty, vibes are there. Servers are friendly and attentive. I wouldn't recommend the hookah, it's not the best. I really do think if the place had a bit of a re-vamp, got good hookah, it could become the LA hot spot again.

The food here is so good! I would recommend 100%. The restaurant is a little empty so at first I was cautious but the food is amazing, the waiters are so nice. Don't let the emptiness be a reason not to come here. Also the outside/patio area is so nice to eat in.

There's plenty of street parking available, Desert Rose in Los Feliz is the is great. Very spacious patio that's perfect for birthdays, holiday parties, or just hanging out a large group. They serve brunch as well as dinner. I went for dinner and sit on the patio. They do have plenty of heat lamps plus the firepits Let's talk food--everything was a vibe! The halloumi with Sojuk? Chef's kiss. I even tried fried smelt for the first time, and it did not disappoint. The mushroom pizza was savory perfection, and the Khesh Khash was so good! And for dessert? The Ashta with honey and pistachios was the sweetest way to end the night. They even have hookah if you're in the mood to chill. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Los Feliz

I was in a party of 14. Our table setting was lovely in a gorgeous outdoor patio. Their patio heaters and fire pits kept us warm and cozy. Beautiful decor. My lamb shank was fabulous and the other meals all looked scrumptious. The service was outstanding!! They smiled at many separate checks, no problem. The meals were served all at once! I've never enjoyed such quality and courtesy with a large group ever before. I will go back for sure.

A friend of mine and I just happened to be in the neighborhood, saw the restaurant and decided to try it! We started with the Apple Arugula Salad it was delicious! I had the Cappelini and asked them to add some roasted eggplant to it and my friend had the Pecan Crusted Salmon! Both were fabulous! The Crème Brûlée desert was also very good. Our server was so sweet, attentive and made good recommendations. I would definitely go back!

Valentine's Day 2024: After the spa, we wanted to eat Valentine's Day dinner close by. Called The Desert Rose and surprisingly they had plenty of openings. Facility: The ambiance was great. Romantic lighting outside on the patio. There is a smoking section for Hookah. Tables were clean and bathrooms were clean. Parking: they have valet but we parked on the street. Service: Excellent. Our server and everyone we met eyes with was very welcoming. Where things went left: Food: So we weren't told the special "3-course Valentine's Day special was $75pp!!! Had we known that, we surely would have gone elsewhere. That's what we get for not asking. Now we know why they had space available. The menu was pre-selected. Corn chowder (4/5), cheese rolls (5/5), beef kabob (4/5), Spinach Ravioli (3/5), cheesecake (4/5), chocolate cake (4/5). I would come back again for a non pre-selected menu.
